Shays
Flat Jack’s View Shiraz 2006
The 2006
Jack’s View shiraz is an elegant, spicy cool climate wine,
displaying rich characteristic cherry plum flavours.
"Dark purple;
medium- to full-bodied, with licorice, prune, plum and blackberry
fruit which does not go into overripe territory; good balance and
length". - James Halliday 2009 Wine Companion
Shays
Flat Sangiovese 2006
Affectionately referred to as the wild child, the sangiovese vines
have flourished at Shays Flat. The 2006 Wild Child sangiovese has
characteristic varietal earthy plum flavours enhanced by the
terroir influence of cherry and pepper spice.
"One of the newer, smarter Pyrenees labels, this Sangiovese shows
plenty of regional and varietal character. The nose is a rustic
mix of cherry fruit, herbs and spice, leading to a palate with
fine sinewy tannins and a distinctly savoury wrap through the
finish". -

Shays
Flat Cabernet Sauvignon 2006
Cabernet
Sauvignon is well suited to the Pyrenees terroir. It is low
yielding developing smooth intense varietal flavours and
magnificent colour. The 2006 Shays Flat cabernet sauvignon
is a generous full-bodied wine which will age well.
"This has a fresh,
modern, juicy nose with regional accents of bright ripe berries
and herbs, some eucalypt leaf too. Appealing freshness on the
palate with a bright juicy entry, there’s a flurry of cassis
flavour and then light tannins that flow gently through the
finish" -
